Medium early, popular variety. Unique for its ability to withstand up to -15C frost providing fresh, rich in nutritional value leaves even in the middle of Dec! Grows as attractive, 40-60cm (15.7-23.6in) tall plant with very curly, dark green leaves. Posses very high nutritional value tastes very delicious eaten in salads, soups, looks lovely as food decorating detail.
HOW TO GROW VEGETABLE SEEDS
Growing: Planting season: Early spring, starting from transplants four weeks prior to the last frost date or direct seeding once the soil can be worked. Fall, sowing seeds two months prior to first expected frost for full size and up until frost for baby leaf.
Soil: Well-drained, fertile soil high in organic matter, with a pH of 6-7.5. Can tolerate slightly alkaline soil.
Sowing depth: 1/4-1/2in (0.6-1.2cm);
Plant spacing: Baby leaf, direct seeding - 60 seeds/ft in 2-4in (5-10cm) bands; Full size - 12-18in (30-45cm).
Row spacing: 18-30in (45-76cm) for full size.
Sun: Full sun/partial shade
Moisture: Regular watering to keep the soil moist (not wet).
Fertilizing: Recommended.
