S31 Eggplant "Black Beauty"
Medium early heirloom ready for harvest in 120-150 days. Fruits are large, cylindrical-shaped, dark purple, almost black color with shinny, thin skin. The flesh is pure white and buttery smooth, rich flavored, very delicious. Best for fresh consumption, stews, soups, salads. Warm-season annuals.
HOW TO GROW FRUIT SEEDS
Growing: Planting season: Year-round in warm climates (best during dry seasons); in a temperate climate - spring, indoors, 2months before the soil warms up.
Soil: Sandy, fertile, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral soil.
Sowing depth: 1cm (0.4in) deep. Spacing: place 3-4in (7-10cm) tall seedlings 24-30in (61-76cm) apart in well prepared beds.
Light: Full sun.
Watering: Regular to keep the soil moist.
Fertilizing: Apply a balanced fertilizer every two weeks during the growing season.
