VFR188 Pumpkin 'Amazonka'
Early variety, ready for harvest in 88 days after seeds germination. Sets small, compact, round, and slightly flattened fruits, each weighing 1-1.5kg. Turns from bright yellow to deep orange color when matured, containing an especially high amount of beta-carotene. The flesh inside is yellow, soft, very sweet, rich-flavored. Fantastic for soups, baked, stir-fried, added to stews or pastries. Excellent for growing in small spaces. This variety is suitable for longer storage. Perfect for all, including those monitoring their diet. Matures in about 90 days. Great for small spaces.
HOW TO GROW FRUIT SEEDS
Growing: Year-round in a tropical climate; in temperate climates sow the seeds indoors in apr or directly outside in May / June, after the danger of the last frost has passed.
Soil: Light, fertile, sandy loam.
Sowing depth: 3-5cm deep.
Spacing: 80 x 50cm apart.
Watering: Regular to keep the soil moist.
Fertilizing: Optional.
