Composted chicken manure provides a slow-release source of macro and micronutrients and acts as a soil amendment. Compared to other manures, chicken manure has higher in nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and calcium, and are also rich in organic matter.
Application of chicken manure to soil increases water holding capacity, improves aeration and drainage. In addition, Chicken manure provides a food source for soil microbes, which increases soil biological diversity, accelerating the breakdown of organic nutrients into forms more readily available to plants.
An average dose for top-dressing is 150g - 200g per sq m for most of the garden crops. Mix 5g of chicken manure in 1 kg of potting mixture for potted plants. Apply it 1 to 2 inches deep to your garden crops and 1/2 inch deep to your lawn for better results.
